Acoustic Moulding
The Acoustical Molding® is an ideal and essential tool for controlling flutter echoes,
maintaining ambiance, as well as establishing clarity and spaciousness within a room, while
providing a fashionable look and finishing.
Flutter echoes are caused by repetitive sound reflections between parallel surfaces such as
walls, doors, windows, etc. A common and effective way to reduce these reflections is applying
absorptive material in one or both surfaces. Absorptive panels reduce these reflections
successfully, but also produce acoustically dead spaces and excessive reduction of high
frequencies. The Acoustical Molding® helps control these reflections while maintaining the
spaciousness sensation, sound clarity, and speech intelligibility.
The Acoustical Molding® is made of selected wood. Standard finishes are: light wood or dark
wood. Please contact MBR Design Group for special color matching.
The Acoustical Molding® is available in: 0'-4" (0.10m) wide by 4'-0" (1.22m) long strips.
The Acoustical Molding® can be screwed or glued to any wall or surface and, due to its
dimensions, it can be easily trimmed and accommodated in places where fixed size paneling
doesn't fit.
