Acoustic Door
Acoustical Doors® are presented in two different performance applications in mind: the
Standard Isolation Door and the High Isolation Door.
The Standard Isolation Door is intended for moderate noise control or situations when double
doors (sound lock) can be installed. When properly installed, this door is rated for an STC
value of 41.
The High Isolation Door is intended for situations where higher isolation levels must be
achieved, or where no double doors (sound lock) can be used due to space restrictions. When
properly installed, this door is rated for an STC value of 50.
The Acoustical Doors® can be provided with any size window openings. Please contact MBR
Design Group for assistance in glass thickness selection and window opening sizing.
The Acoustical Doors® are made of wood in the exterior. The internal composition varies
depending on the isolation required. As wood doors are lighter than steel doors, they are ideal
for drywall construction, because structural stress is reduced significantly with every door
"slam". Doors are provided with standard Zero International® seals and saddle, as well as bolt
bearing hinges, door handles and dead bolt locks. Standard finishes are: light wood, dark
wood or colored lacquer. Please contact MBR Design Group for special color Matching.
The Acoustical Doors® standard dimensions are: 6'-8" (2.03m) height by 3'-0" (0.91m) wide.
Custom door sizes are also available upon request.
